" Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose" ~ Bill Gates
A Word About Success
Success is a noun that means accomplishment of an aim or purpose. All of us at some point has had something happen to us or given to us that we worked hard for that we considered an accomplishment. When you received that gift, reward, new position at your job etc; what were you aiming for in order to get it? When you are aiming towards something you usually have some kind of mental intention or direction in order to get where you want to go. But what was your driving fuel to even start? Success is not measured on how well you do something. You can be multi-talented in several things but that wouldn't necessarily qualify you as successful. You can get that promotion at work or receive that gift or reward for your hard work but that may not be where your success comes from. But when you are aiming towards your purpose and work hard to fulfill what your purpose is in life then that's where you shall find your truest most purest success. My father told me when I middle school as I started to tell everyone I wanted to be a criminal lawyer after switching from teaching for many years that you'll fine the most success when you are doing what you were called to do. For the next couple years I continued to take classes and purse the criminal justice field and after hours of reading, debating, and extensive exams and papers I came to realize, I don't feel like this is what I am supposed to be doing. So when I converted back to teaching and started taking classes I realized my energy and mindset shifted and I actually felt like this was where I should have started from the beginning. Success can be many of things but once you find where you are suppose to be in life and how you are going to make an impact that's when you will finally be successful. Remember if being successful were easy there would be more room at the top!
